auctions vs raffles

My first impression is that there are far more greater "sins" than holding
a pumpkin seed auction. Generally auctions have been an historically
accepted way to raise money. They are used everywhere Live they can be
alot of fun.

I think the problem is not the auction or auctioneer but " the crazed
pumpkin grower" willing to spend his wad. Because the grower has lost all
logic and will spend anything to capture the great pumpkin.

We must devise a way to protect the grower from himself and find a way that
these auctions" include" rather than" exclude". Growers generally just
want to have fun and all have equal opportunities on the playing field.
300.00 a seed is probably a mis represention on what this game is all
about.

I would imagine that organizations could offer raffle tickets as part of
a membership or a limit of 5 tickets for 5.oo to others. ( Just
brainstorming) There might be more participation and more revenue and
everyone would have equal opportunity if they so
desired........................Mbrock
