Run For Cover Crops
Janet,
These rascals are pulling your leg, and I’m sorry to see your very
neighbor Dennis give it a tweak. We Californians should stick up for
each other. While I didn’t sneak a peak at the picture that prompted the
thread, I suspect that the storied cover crop on the pumpkin patch was
actually a sizable layer of snow. You probably didn’t plant any last
year, thanks to little La Nina.
While I’ve got your attention, have you tried using pomace in your
compost? I know you guys grow raisins, but don’t some of your neighbors
grow wine? Maybe you guys in Napa can answer this? Or Kevin Smith? Or
Dennis Houser? Thanks!
