Re: Lead & arsenic & Ironite

Actually there is some information on Ironite's website (www.ironite.com) in the "Research Lab" section, under "toxicology". Seems good to me. I will use this product.

Over this winter I've been running an experiment with Ironite. As you can see on their website, they have photos of a plant (looks like a pumpkin) with Ironite and without, and of course the one with Ironite is much bigger. I decided to try this for myself. Now, due to some setbacks and limitations, my experiment is FAR from scientific. But, I get the same result! The Ironite'ed plant is much bigger and greener. If I get a chance I may outline exactly what I did in a future posting.

From what I understand, Ironite can also help those of us with alkaline soil. I may see more benefit with my alkaline soil than those of you who have acidic soil. From what I understand, (which is much less than reality) my soil is so alkaline that minor nutrients are locked up, tied up and unavailable to my plants. For example, some of my other vegetables show signs of not getting enough calcium, yet my soil is FULL of calcium. The plant can't take up the calcium because the soil and water are too alkaline.
