Re: Large white seeds
The 947 Patrick I grew in 2000 produced seeds with almost those
charactoristics. White seed, most I've ever seen in one
pumpkin, over 600, but only average size. However, I've never
seen white AG seeds that were very large.
Keep in mind, I don't believe all 947 Patricks will produce
white seeds. This is a charactoristic like skin color. White
seeds, I suspect, are comparable to green skin - a resessive
trait. It pops up once in a while. Now, if you found a 947
Patrick offspring that produced white seeds and that offspring
had been selfed, the seeds from that offspring would be better
canidates. (The 947 Patrick was selfed.)
If you are interested in some seeds from my 947 Patrick
offspring, send me your address in a private email. My 947
Patrick was crossed with the 937 Mombert which produced a 789
with the largest tan seeds I've ever seen. Most likely the
offspring of this seed will produce tan seeds but you could get
lucky.
