Subject: Question

I have often wondered about this 120 day thing. On all seeds for AG's I have
ever bought in a package they all say 120 days. I tried to break this down
into something that made since. 120 from seed start is June 7th to October
5th that should be the 2002 weigh off day. So if that isn't write then it
must be from Pollination? Then why is everyone trying to pollinate in the
first week or so of July that would put the 120 days around mid November?
120 days from first true leave, what's that, a week to ten days after
Germination that still has you planting in June? I thought we all were
planting in late April and early May? So really what is this 120 day thing?
If I plant in the last week of April my pumPkins will be all done in August?
I don't want to be done in August?
