Re: Seeds, Help
Rocky,
Thanks for the support. Many have done a great service to giant pumpkin
growing. I was lucky enough to be able to do what I did, partly because of P
& P Seed Co. Not only getting seeds to potential growers and supporters of
the sport/hobby worldwide but helping form most of the current organizations
and weigh-off sites and even this group. Getting seeds to first timers was
one of my early goals to help kids and seniors by involving them in this
great, passionate and interesting hobby. There are some failures along the
way for most of us but just look where we've taken this! Just like when I
first started promoting the 1,000 lber in 1986; taking a real beating on that
one, I'm still saying we can get to 1,500 lbs within the next few years! Any
doubts? Lets discuss that for a while. I think it is a topic we all need to
focus on (as a group). I've been doing this for more than 20 years and it
still gives me goose bumps to think a single vegetable can be that large.
You know we are going to see a 1 ton (2,000 lb) pumpkin before we're done.
To think this has all been done with seed selection and pure desire!
As for P & P Seed Co (www.pandpseed.com) we're still completing the website
update and just about finished with that and a new order form. We will
update the site first. I will post a notice to the group. We have some
great crosses I did with the AGBOBIER845 and some new tarps, etc. If any top
growers want to work with us regarding seed selling please get back to me.
We have great international exposure and customer base and we'd like to offer
some of the best seeds to take the sport/hobby one step further. Just think
of the weight taken off the world record this past season and then dream a
little! We'll be there!
