Subject: Introduction Announcement
To all members of the
Mallorn List. We wanted to take the time to introduce the Pacific
Giant Vegetable Growers. The Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers is first
and foremost an association of gardeners. Our purpose is to promote and
encourage the hobby of gardening with emphasis placed on the fun of
competition and the production of obscenely large healthy vegetables.
The vegetable of main concern will be the pumpkin. We will, to the
best of our ability , treat each and every member equally and fairly. We
will continue to improve our organization for the benefit of all our members.
The hobby of gardening should be fulfilling, rewarding and above all fun
for everyone involved. This is our intent and our mission. What does
this mean to the world? Probably not much unless you live here in the
Northwest with the exception of one key thing. Our seed distribution
plan. A Seed Plan Membership to the PGVG is $20.00 US currency.
This will entitle you to the following: A current roster of all
PGVG members to enhance the availablity to ask questions of more experienced
growers, our quarterly newsletter which is informative and entertaining, and
most importantly, our seed distribution. You will receive AT LEAST 5
seeds from our seed bank. Seeds from The Daletas Family, The Handys,
Hesters, LaRues, and the Sherwoods are just a part of what is in our seed
bank. In addition to this, there will be 10 significant seeds to be
randomly distributed to seed plan members. These include a 935 Lloyd,
723 Bobier, 940 Mombert 98, 1026 Holland, 825 Shymanski, 903 Holland, 780
Eaton, 611 Hester, 810 Handy, and a 974 Mettler. Call it a lottery or !
a raffle, but these 10 seeds will go out to 10 lucky members. All that
is required is a paid Seed Plan or Family Plan Membership to the Pacific Giant
Vegetable Growers due by March 15th, 2002. If this sounds like a good
deal, please send your dues to: Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers PO Box
1194 Mulino, Oregon 97042
Should you have any
questions, please feel free to email me personally at Orion910@AOL.com
Thank You, Brett Hester President, Pacific Giant Vegetable
Growers
