The Niagara Pennisula Giant Pumpkin Growers
Association had there first meeting. We had 62 new growers and about 10 more
experienced growers. I would like to annouce a new weigh off site at the Howell
Family Pumpkin Farm, just outside St Catharines. Jerry Howell has always wanted
a weigh off site at his farm. He has applied for GPC status and a surprise to us
all he annouced a very generous prize structure considering he has no sponsers
on board yet. We let everyone know about the up and coming seminar put on by
Port Elgin on April 7th in Niagara Falls. Jerry and I are quite excited at the
response and are hoping for a large number of big pumpkins in the fall. You can

He has a pumpkin eating robotic 30 foot dinosaur,spook barn and many other
attractions making this farm one of the premier fun filled family events in the
Niagara Region. I will keep you updated on the status as things come together.
Here is his prize structure. Only pumpkins so far but hopefully there will be
other vegetables.
