Dear Editor:
Mr Howard Dill invented a sport that has held men and women in thrall
for decades. We love the sport because:
It keeps us in the fresh air outdoors;
It keeps us physically fit;
It invigorates our minds;
It’s extremely competitive;
It strengthens the underground economy;
It fosters friendship and engenders peace and happiness around the
world. This is the sport of Atlantic Giant pumpkin growing, invented
singlehandedly by Mr Howard Dill, who is also famous for his legendary
knowledge of the sport of ice hockey.
Peter McLaughlin’s excellent article of 12-30-01 details the controversy
between two hockey historians. The article says that local oldtimers
side with Mr. Vaughn. We pumpkin growers around the world side with Mr
Dill. We love Mr Dill. God bless Mr Dill!
