The town of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island has
undertaken an ambitious project this year. Under the guidance of John Meloche,
there will be a three day pumpkinfest on October 25, 26 and 27.There are
numerous activities planned including trying for a new world record for the
largest pumpkin pie. All the activities and details can be found on the official
web site designed by webmaster John Meloche.It will be updated regularly as more

What this means is instead of two or three small
weigh-offs, there will be one major one on Vancouver Island. I look forward to
being a part of this festival.
