Re: preserve seeds


If kept in cool, dry and dark environment, pumpkin seeds will keep for years. 
5-7 years, even more. Seed viability goes down over time.

Seeds have been known to have a longer "shelf life". Wheat seeds found in 
ancient Egyptian tombs have been tested and sprouted thousands of years 
later.

Here is a link to a page on pumpkin seeds that germinated over 40 years 
later. They were stored in far less than ideal conditions and were planted 
last year.
