Just an Observation
Hi List
Just wanted all of you to know that the seeds I started over at the
community garden near where I work are up and going. I snuck them in a few
weeks ago and planted them 10 inches apart. these are just my seeds from 2002
which were the 505 Smith, 525 Smith and the 530 Smith. the 525 snd 530 are
growing great and look just as good as any plant I have put in my garden but
here is the funny thing !! the 505 was the smallest seed I had this year as
it goes for size and the Dicots (seed leaves) are at least three times larger
then the other two !!! I did not measure them because I do not want anyone to
know I am growing them there but I would have to say almost five inches each
and the first true leaf is now coming out ! I am really happy to see all
three come up and doing so well !! I know either the growers will take back
over there patch soon or the snails will finish them off but it sure is fun
for now !! the weather has been in the 40's at night and between high 60's
and low 80's during the day so I would say pretty good pumpkin weather for
January !! Just wanted to give you a progress report !! Take care all !!!
