PNWGPG Feb 5th Auction notice
Straight from our PNWGPG's President's Bigpumpkins.com entry
Pacific Northwest Giant Pumpkin Growers
Third Annual Internet Auction February 5, 2005
BigPumpkins.com Chat Room 8 pm(EST) 5 pm (PST)
Fellow Pumpkin Growers,
For the third time in our history, the PNWGPG organization is going to have
an internet seed auction. As you have noticed lately, seed auctions are no
longer a bnoveltyb, but are now commonplace. Never the less, we hope that
we
have collected enough of these btreasuresb to peak your interest. We
have
sincerely appreciated your support in years past and look forward to your
support once again. All of the moneys collected will help fund club
weigh-offs
and other activities.
We have received permission from the Dill family to hold this auction even
though the Dill PPV has expired. We are truly grateful for all that the
Dill family has done for our sport. Additional products from the Dill family
can be found at bHowardDill.comb.
We want our auction to be different from the others that have taken place
during the off season. In order to add more excitement to this years
auction,
a Bobier 723-99 seed will be randomly awarded to the winner of one of the
Lots. The Lot will be chosen by another PNWGPG Board member and will be
unknown
to the auctioneer. The winner of the 723 will be revealed at the end of
the auction.
As in years past, our auction will move along very rapidly. If you really
want a Lot, then bid quickly and often....$5 increments, please! Last year,
we were chastised because bSoldb was called too quickly. Remember, there
is
a definite blag timeb in the auction room. If there is no bidding for
ten
seconds, the auctioneer will call, bGoing onceb and if no response in ten
seconds, bGoing twiceb.....then bSoldb. We hope to complete the
auction in
less than three hours.
Terms of Sale:
1. Payment should be sent to: PNWGPG, PO Box 410, Keyport, WA 98345
2. Money Orders are the preferred form of payment. Personal checks will
be held for a minimum of two weeks.
3. Seeds shipped will require a signature at delivery.
4. The PNWGPG cannot guarantee the germination of any seed. To our
knowledge, all seeds appear to be bsolid seedb. All sales will be
final.
5. There will be one seed in each envelope unless specifically
mentioned.
It is imperative that each bidder print out the list of seeds to be
auctioned. Individual seeds in each Lot will not be announced as the bidding
begins.
The first ten minutes of the auction will be the time to ask questions
before the bidding begins or you may contact: _snpugh@comcast.net_
