I will likely still be getting frost by April 7th. I am a little
jealous of the early planting dates I am seeing here.

There is a real tricky question. I planted my seeds on april 1st in 07
and had good growth. however the fruit were rotting on the vine by weigh
off. People in southern Fla will plant even earlier. I would be more
concerned with average ground temps than with date. I look for an
average temp of about 55.
