It came off the vine prematurely. Final weight was just over 300. Our
friends donated it to us for one of our roadside stands. It was a nice
shaped fruit with deep orange color. It sold for $80. We used the money to
buy Morgan's family some tools.
I had a terrible year with field pumpkins and squash. We never had summer
here and it was abnormally wet. I fed about a ton to the cattle as we
couldn't harvest.
I am using the space next year for soy beans so I can hopefully make some
profit.
I am looking forward to growing some Giants with my new pumpkin friend
Morgan this spring.
