Moraga Magical Springs Water!

Rocky,

Actually what I used was recycled green waste. I do not have a local source
for cow manure. Many counties are now recycling curbside greenwaste turning
it into compost! The particular material I am using is very closely managed
and well balanced. If anyone is considering using recycled green waste from
their county, use caution. This is a new process to many counties and a
number of them have not mastered composting or balancing their end product
yet. If you have a program in your county and are considering buying
recycled green waste be sure to speak with the person in charge of the
program. Ask what they are putting in the material, what is their
composting process, for how long, at what temp and insist on a compost test.
This is like a soil test but for compost and much more expensive. The test
should show you pH, nutrients, micronutrients % Organic etc. If they can not
provide you with a test, I for one would back off. If you are still
considering it, look at the material closely, many counties add a tremendous
amount of wood, this you do not want. The end product should be a rich dark
material with the consistency of flour or slightly larger particle size! It
should not smell and should not contain branches, twigs, wood chips etc.
