Gday folks,
The temperatures have come down and we had almost a day of light rain
(perhaps 5mm) very welcome. I have been tying up the vines and attempting to
get the fruit into position so I wont have trouble with the stem breaking
off as it grows.
Almost all the flowers I pollinated seem to have taken (even ones done at
100F) and the bees have been busy covering all other females. I had to prune
off over a dozen grapefruit sized fruit on the weekend from one plant and
they keep coming. I am now starting to measure the and record the OTT
measurements to ensure I don't limit my selection too early.
The Bobier consistently produces four segment flowers and the Zehr five
segment flowers.
