RE: southern pumpkins


Mike Nepereny here. Been growing AGs for two years. I live about 40
miles east of Atlanta. Best my first year was 310. My best that made it
to a weigh-off in 97 was 340 although i had one closer to 400 that
rotted in September. Have big plans for 98 and some new techniques to
try. I have high hopes in growing a much bigger specimen. 

Also grew an 85 pound watermelon with some Carolina Cross seeds my first
time out. I'll be trying again this year but with a private (and
superior)  strain of seed.

I am also trying to set up an Atlanta weigh-off site with another
organization.
