Mike,
Allardt will be an independent sight this year and possibly part of the
GPC next year. I think we will combine the sight information from the
two southern sites plus the nearest site to the north, Altoona, to
determine who is King or Queen of the South. Any other southern growers
weighing off pumpkins at sites other then these will have to inform us
of this since we will only have the information from the top l0 from the
other sights. I think It would be fun to have a permanant trophy that is
handed to the new King/Queen each year on which will go each successive
winner's name. The only problem would be someone losing the darn thing!
I will need to contact the sight coordinators to inform them of our
friendly competition and hope that they will assist us in our new
venture. Come on all you southern pumpkin growers. Get on the train!
