DC's King Speaks

To all my subjects- excuse me- I mean on all the subjects addressed to
me in one way or another over the weekend here are some short responses.

Mike, Allardt had a three year contract with WPC. They want to switch to
the GPC but still have one year on paper to deal with so thats their
year of being an independent. Just the pumpkin vine. What about the
"Southern Cup" , do you think it should travel to each champion for the
year? I also want to know how you are going to attack the stem borer
problem this year. 

Lubadub, Nice to finally hear from you. I was getting worried that you
didn't like me stealing the show in Altoona. How is that pony-tail
coming? Beth Rado got me to join the Ontario-St.Lawrence newsletter so I
will be in the lottery. It was the only pumpkin related gift under the
tree this year except for a requested book called "Squashed". All the
other things I got, the Ferrari, the gold jewelry, the vacation cruise
didn't mean a whole lot to me. BUT THE SEED LOTTERY, WOW!!!!!!

Southern Growers, Thanks for the support. Nobody but I was worried about
the exclusion of DC. I am happy to get the future SPGA on track as well
as starting the "Southern Cup". I will eventually try to form a mailing
list out of the names I have received so that I can send out the first
mailings. There will be no dues but I will ask those receiving mailings
to support me with a few stamps now and then and will ask for
interesting articles and information to include in the mailing. So get
siked-up for the Southern Cup. Who's going to become the first King or
Queen of the southern pumpkin growers?

Patrick, I sense a poet in your writing. The Pumpkin Witch has it right,
most of us are on the edge but it sure makes for some interesting
friendships. Let us continue ours.
