What is a good, economical, organic source of Potassium?

Mike,
If you are looking for a water soluble form of Potassium it would be
Potassium Nitrate. This is found in most formulas like Peters or Miracle Grow
type things. Granular fertilizers containing Potassium would be Potassium
Chloride (KCL) also known as Muriate of Potash. This is extremely salty and
can easily burn a plant....it is 3 times stronger than a general purpose
bagged fertilizer so use sparingly. There is also Potassium Sulfate. If you
look into a bag of regular, granular fertilizer, you will see 3
colors.....pink, white, and gray. The pink is muriate of potash, the white is
Urea (nitrogen) and the gray is phosphorus....usually.
