After a very shakey start my plants are going great.
I came home to the best looking pumpkin plants I have ever seen.
My daughter did a great job of looking after them.
The 1006 is a bigger plant than the 990 but it is catching up.
The only problem I have now is the heat.
I did the hoochy coochy to 8 flowers in the last few weeks and
all have aborted. One grew to 17 and a half inches and died
when the weather hit 40 deg C.
I have plenty more flowers coming so I won't panic yet.
I just hope the weather cools down.
I have set up a 200 litre container (44gals) to drip feed them with
a mix of liquid fertilizer.
All is going pretty well...I'm happy.......... for a while.
Oh...by the way. A certain grower here in Adelaide is using a water
conditioner containing strange things like rare earth magnets and
other mystical and wonderous things.
He also spent a small fortune on a pile of dirt so he can grow a bigger
gourd and cucumber than me.......Good luck.... Lyn.
I had better put that crystal back in my watering can.
Gee it's nice to be back.
