apples to apples

Got a question,
What is the world record variety of apples, pears,and any other fruit tree?  I
can't seem to find any info on the subject, and the guiness book isn't helping
either.  I am expanding the orchard somewhat and want to put in some big
fruit.  I know, its not pumpkins, but they are large and unusual.
