Couple questions...

Here is a couple questions for my fellow pumpkin fanatics...
1) Have we figured out what causes a pumpkin to get that awsome stem end and
then taper drastically to a dinky blossom end, and eventually split and rot?
I guess you could say bell shaped pumpkin syndrome? I heard a rumor it was a
lack of calcium in the soil.

2)Has anyone tried overdosing the pumpkins with vitamin B to decrese
splitting?

3)Has anyone used DMSO to help the plants absorb nutrients through foliar
feeding?

4)Has anyone tried mainlining a vine with a hospital bag full of fertilized
water.

5)What is the best thing to put on manure to break it down faster?

Any Imput will help.
