Gus,

You asked that I submit to your Feb. issue something about the Southern
Pumpkin Growers Association and the Southern Cup. I sent an e-mail
concerning some details I needed from you about this such as just what
type of article do you want ( brief, detailed?) , what are your
deadlines, do you have room for a tribute to Jim Asberry who died a few
weeks ago. He holds the all-time southern pumpkin record out of Tenn,
719 I believe. Your request for pictures of our pumpkins, is that for
your locality only? 
     Great issue that came in the mail. Your listing of the Raleigh
results has helped my organizing of the southern grower a lot! Great
work. I will eagerly await your answers.
