I'm serious. Why do we do this?? Why do we find ourselves chopping
down trees or buying more property or forgoing the tomatoes, the lawn,
the driveway? Taking out second mortgages to buy irrigation systems,
poring for hours over family trees and trading desperately for the
"right" seeds?
I'm in. I'm as crazed as the rest of you, but I want to understand
it. Can anyone help?

Because We Can.
Why do we do this
Are we all crazy
Or is the rest of the world
Too stupid or lazy
We ll never be famous
Like Captain Cook
We ll never be noted
In a history book
Our neighbours will laugh
And sometimes poke fun
But do they have an interest
Probably none
They re gardens are jungles
They have only one mission
To sit on their behinds
And watch television
They ask why we do it
Your a crazy man
Why do we do it
.....Because we can.
