seed selection

Hello pumpkineers,
In an effort to maintain some sanity while
snowed in at work, I have designed an opinion poll concerning seed selection
below. To give you a little background. I am a second year grower in
Greenwood, Indiana. I have spent the last few months collecting seeds from
some of the better growers across the u.s. and canada. I have recieved a very
good response from those growers I contacted by phone and/or mail. I can't
say enough about how friendly and helpful all of the growers that I contacted
have been. Names like Kirk Mombert, Jack Larue, Joel Holland, Lincoln
Mettler, and Pete Geerts. If you ever get the chance pick their brains.
There is an immeasurable amount of pumpkin knowledge among those growers.
Unfortunately my phone bill has been a little high lately but hopefully this
will pay off some day with a big pumpkin.
The only down side I have found in my search for seeds is that many of
these growers don't have enough proven seeds left to continue sending them to
people like myself. Its a given that there are only a few 567.5 Momberts,827
Hollands and 946.5 Geerts left to be had in this world.
So my question for all of you today is this. If you only had the
following seeds of which almost all are unproven, which would you plant first.
Below I have listed 6 of the seeds I have. If you would please rank them from
1 to 6.

920 Cole 98- not spec. x 567.4 Wallace
815 Anderson 97 - 1006Greer x 697 Ciliberto
865 Mettler 98 - 946.5 Geerts x 567.5 Mombert
974 Mettler 98 - 671 Mettler x 620 Black
854 Holland 98 - 827 Holland x 876.5 Lloyd
915 Larue 98 - 810 Mcinnis x 567.5 Mombert

Please do not respond to this survey at the mallorn computing address

I don't want to upset anyone, especially duncan.

P.S. if you want to further review the genetic backgrounds of these pumpkins
this info is available at the following web-site address.
