Just a Pup, The Guru History

Nope I'm not joking, in fact, I cut myself a year short, I was born on June
3rd 1972 so I am only 26. I always feel like I am older though, god I can't
wait until I am retired so I can grow pumpkins for a living. I grew my first
atlantic giant in 1993, it weighed 17 pounds. I had 40 plants in a 30 x 30
foot space. I got last at the county fair. I learned to grow fewer plants
that year, and in 1994 I bigger one and found out about a thing called a
weighoff. I took my biggest one fully expecting to win. The 133.5 Hester 94
got dead last. Since I met the rest of the crew over here in the PNW they
have helped me in every way to grow bigger pumpkins, and with all the research
I have done I can at least say I know a little more than I did going into my
7th year growing the big ones. I thank you for the compliment about the
experience.
