Ok Barb,
You made me jump in because we share a birthday, I celebrated my 39th on the
10th of this month. I think growing giant pumpkins makes kids of all of us
as we share a sense of wonder at thier size. It also makes us feel like
toddlers in the land of the giants. The things that occupy our world shrank
as we all grew up and increased our own size but walking among the giant
pumpkins is akin to strolling in the redwood forests for me. It makes me
feel small again. Thats not an easy feat for some of us who have trouble
saying no to seconds at the dinner table, or the pumpkin pie for dessert.
