Thankyou to all those that replied to my update.
I was begining to feel left out...hell I nearlly unsubscribed.
It seems most want to know about my long gourd,what a great thing
they are to. I have one about 3 feet long which is nearlly touching
the ground. I was going to cut it off but a mate of mine had a brilliant
idea.(G,day Lyn) I could grow it on an angle....may 45 degrees.
I just have to support it somehow. Maybe use a plastic (pvc)
pipe cut in half length ways.
The trellis is at an angle and is about 12 feet at the highest point
and I have pollinate 2 flowers at the top.Plenty of room for them.
I have a picture of the small one if anyone wants to see it.
I have a digital camera now so if anyone wants a picture of anything
here Down under, let me know.
If someone has a homepage to display them....that would be easier
for everyone. I'll have to start my own one day.
The pumpkins are going great, it's that time of the season where
you get excited, you come home from work...grab a cold beer
and go straight out to measure the pumpkins. 40 inches circum' at
the moment.
I'm growing tall corn for the first time....boy..does that stuff grow.
I have long carrots in pipes (Last years was 8 feet)and giant
tomatoes.The giant cucumbers are a bit slow.
I grow lots of giant stuff.
