I live in the interior (Fairbanks), nowhere near the Pacific.
The growing season here is glorious but short in relation to the growing
seasons elsewhere on the globe.

On days like today, so do I.  I whined in an earlier message about
temperatures of -40 F, which haven't moderated much.  It's hard to believe
that, a few months from now, there will be a thriving garden out there!
