Last Summer I conversed with a guy in Colorado Springs. He has to deal
with heat and sun. Ultimately, he took first place in his local
contest.He used a sun and hail screen over his entire garden. Most of us
just need to cover the fruit.
I think 5% sun loss is okay for the plant, but the shade over the fruit
should be greater. I have a website which covers this and other issues.
