Re: growing up tip
Dan and group,
I dont know about the exact circumstance but I am having a tip blowing
problem... My problem only exists on one plant, my Lloyd 935... I have had 8
tips, my initial main, my second main, and 6 side vines blow thier tips..
For those who have never seen this, you would swear that a kid or dog came
through the patch and broke off the tipof your vines, but alas, after 8 of
these things happening, I have come to the conclusion that this is not the
cause....I found one of my last tips to not only be completely severed, but
also had a section underneath the vine that was kinda like it had blown out
from something...
As for causes, I initially diagnosed it to overfertilizing, but upon further
review, have not fertilized in 10 days, . It did rain really hard the night
before, and our weather has given us alot of cold (50 degree) nights, and
heavy rains..
If there are any other stories of blowng tips out there, I would love to
hear of them, either privately, or through the group, because if this is
genetic, I will never grow the 935 again, but if it is something else, I
want to cure what ails the plant... My soil tests are normal, no
particularly high element, and the one thing that puzzles me is why doesnt
the Checkon 815 that sits 18 feet away from the 935 have this happening? It
is only the 935..
