RE: GROWING UP TIP

HI THERE. I had a nice secondary snap today when i got home from work. It
was doing the same thing standing up about 18 or 20 inchs of the ground as a
matter of fact all the vines ( mains and secondarys) are up quite a bit of
the ground. My best guess is that its the plants way of dealing with the heat
when its strong enough to do so. You don,t see that happing when the plants
are small still developing a strong root system. But get out there 10 or 12
ft on mains and secondarys and thay seem to like to get of the ground where
thay burn and scorch in hot weather. that would be my guess to why it happens
but im no expert. if my main gets much higher im going to put some foam
rubber cushions against the vines to stabilize them from snapping ( couch
cushins thick ones) hope this was some help good luck. John G. Derry N.H
