Hello everyone
My name is Dave and I am new to this mailing list and wanted to introduce
myself. I live in Durham CT and have been growing pumpkins all my life.
Started Atlantic Giants last year and of course we experienced drought
conditions most of the summer, so my rookie year wasn't that productive.
Managed to at least get one good one and harvested the seeds for this year.
Master Pumpkin got me my first plants and this year's plants are offspring of
those. So far so good.

Do have one interesting thing to mention that I thought me be helpful or at
least food for thought. Today I spotted a Female vine borer and followed it
around the garden. As I was trying to capture or kill it, a dragon fly took
it out of the air right in front of me. I've seen them take wasps out of the
air before but never a vine borer. Does
anyone know if the wasps include these in their diets? Hope they continue to
guard the patch.
Dave in CT
