Bee attacks Borer Moth

This is a first to me,

I was out the other evening applying my 'Neptune Harvest' to all my plants,
pumpkins, squash, tomato, flowers, etc... While I was spraying the
pumpkins I was noticing the red/black borer moth; I would squish them in my
fingers every time I caught one. There were yellow jackets, or maybe
hornets flying around the plants. I saw a yellow jacket attack the moth,
roll around on top of a pumpkin leaf like they were fighting. After the
attack, the moth just layed on top of the leaf like it was stung or
tranquilized. I grabbed it and squished it. It looks like the preditor
to the moth is a yellow jacket / hornet. I know wasps will attack various
insects, but a yellow jacket?

Now I worry if I spray liquid Sevin, will I kill the yellow jacket? Also
those damn cuke beetles are still around.
