RE: Mombert 749 plant

Barb,

The 749 sucks. My personal hybrid grows to almost twice that size. Quit
acting like your pumpkins are the biggest, because I will put money on the
line that mine is bigger--take that to the patch and cash it.

Ed:

I grew the Mombert 749 earlier this Spring in FL. The plant was a pleasure
to
grow and quite happy in my FL patch.

My largest fruit was a 380 but also got a 214 grown off a side vine. I
discovered a vine crack on the main (which was healed over when I discovered
it) well into the growing season, which limited the overall growth on my
largest to 380 lbs. It was a very aggressive 6 lobed female.

Will grow this seed again. Nice plant with long stemmed, plentiful females.
Great orange color and nice, blocky shape.

E-mail me if you need more info. I kept great records on this plant.

Barb
