What a year I'm having, I almost got wiped out by a hail storm
and then last night I get stampeded. My wife took her two horses two the back
feilds to graze in the morning and said she will bring them back after supper
for water. Well I forgot all about the horses untill my lab sounded the alarm.
At this time I was just filling the last 45 gallon drum on the north side of the
patch and they were quickly coming threw the bush on the south side. I
slowly walked threw the middle of the patch planning to direct them to the side.
As soon as I got to the other side of the patch they split and ran right into
the middle of my patch. I'm sure at that time all my neighbors must of shut
their windows. After freaking out, I managed to get them into the fenced in
pasture and looked over the damage. There was a lot of holes but no broken
vines. Its funny I was just telling a freind how my plants made it threw
the hail storm because I had all the vines covered with soil so that there is no
way the roots could not get damaged. (Wrong again) My wife is growing two
plants this year at my sisters house and wants to kick my butt. I think
I'll give in and go water her plants today. She is way to competitive for me.
Also my wife says she was out swimming with the kids and couldn't possibly have
anything to do with the stampepe and then asked if my largest pumpkin got
damaged. Don ( just tring to survive)
