841 D. Hebb update

This is my first year growing AG pumpkins and I think I am doing pretty
good. I didn't start using pesticides soon enough and had a vine borer
invasion, but I got that under control with injecting BT. I won't make
that mistake again. Here is some information on the only pumpkin that
has set, so far, this year.

841 D. Hebb directly sowed in late May

self pollinated on July 20

5 lobes

day 10 circumference 25&1/2 in.

It has been overcast the last two days which has slowed the growth rate
down some, but hopefully it will be sunny and warm this week. When do I
start fertilizing with potash and what proportions should I use? Is
anyone else growing 853 C. Hebb or 841 D. Hebb this year, if so how are
they doing? Please e-mail me privately. I'll keep you informed as the
season progresses.

Grow them big,
