The Heat Is On!

California growers, With this heat you might think about watering every
morning for a few minutes to help keep the surface moisture up and reduce
heat stress. Shade any tips you wish to save and either water several
times a day for short periods or mist all day to keep the plants cool.
Temps are expected to be over 105 for the next few days and then cool off
by the end of the week to about 100. Doesn't seem like much of a cool down
but it makes a huge difference. Be sure to shade any fruit exposed to the
sun. Reduce the fertilizer applications and hopefully the fruit won't blow
up over the next few days.

Keep 'em cool,
Jon
