I told you so
Dearest List,
The temp today was 108 in Fresno, this was preceeded by 105, 102 and 100.
It took
nerves of steel to refrain from running to the hose to give my babies a big
drink, but I have
reduced my watering by 50 % and my vines are NOT WILTED! You guys all told
me so
awhile back that I was over watering and it appears you are right. Looking
out the window
right now I see dark green unwilted humongous leaves. I may not even put the
shade cloth up if this keeps up.
The bit of bad news is that the last of my 801 Stelts seedlings was just
emerging at
this time, the seedling vanished in a puff of smoke and a cry of "I'm
melting, I'm melting!"
I guess fate has decreed that I grow only two plants after all.
