report from Oregon's bannana belt

My lone plant is doing the best that I've had a plant do,
covering an area 20 X 20 and still getting bigger. I've got
one fruit moving from vollyball to basketball, and 3 others
going for vollyball size. I spent a few minutes doing some
pruning for space they'll need in the future. I've got two
fairly close together, the others well spread, so I'll
start my measurements tomorrow with those two so I can
quickly eliminate the slow one to give room for the fasty.
My wife and I went on vacation for a few days, and I left
the water to the solar water heater-buried soaker hose
setup, and the plant came through the vacation like a
champ.
We got home in time to get a call from the local
newspaper, and your humble author got interviewed on AGs.
If it gets printed my head'll be bigger than my pumpkins.
Maybe this'll be the year I'm not the heaviest thing in the garden;)
