weird problem

I am taking care of a friends (my employer) plants, and one of them has a
peculiarity to wilting of the leaves in the morning (other times too, seemingly
random...). they perk right up again over time. the plants are on a water
timer, and all get the same fertilizer sun exposure etc. we have tried not
watering for a few days, and the plant behaves the same (the others are at the
6 foot vine stage, it is about 2 feet out and hasn't dropped to the ground
yet). it came from gurney's, and so did one other plant. the other plant is
fine, and the 3 that are bigger came from someone locals 600+ lb.

well, so anyways.. anyone have any ideas?

(my pumpkin plants started before his have yet to vine.... but i don't have a
single pest problem.....)
