Don't give up yet...there are still 84 days 'til weigh-off! I won't even
have fruit set until next week sometime. (Of course, I am only a second
year grower with modest goals.)

Well, I think we are going to lose our first giant pumpkin. The heat
and humidity has been brutal this summer. I noticed a soft spot right on top
of our pumpkn today. I guess this is the end of it. All of the female
flowers
on the rest of the vine are rotting also. The temperatures haven't been real
bad, mostly in the mid 90's, but the humidity has been in the mid 90%'s
also.
I guess we'll just try again next year.
