PROBLEM
List,
I have a problem. So far I've polenated 9 female flowers on my 1109
the first two aborted but I wasn't too surprised about it because they
bloomed while I was still fertilizing with hight nightrogen, but right
now the others have grown 8-10 inches in circumference in two-three days
then they've slowed down to 1 inch every 2 days. I know something is
wrong, I fertilize with 10-10-10, apply 1 cup of fish emulsion mixed with
the water I water it with, spray seaweed solusion 2 times a week, and
give it close to 1000 gallons a week. The plant covers about 375 sq. ft.
I've damaged many of the leaves while covering the vines with dirt but
the damage is mainly like a crinkle where the leaf bent up to much. I
didn't get around to getting a soil test, stuped me, but I did a ph test
by stiring some dirt from the garden into about a half cup of water then
filtered the water threw a coffee filter until it was clear then I used a
ph tester for an aquarium to test the water and it was like 5.8 but the
coffee filter probably added some acidity to the test. Hope someone can
help me get these pumpkins going. Thanks.
