Hi Katie
We have them pretty bad here in Michigan too. To control them I bought a plant duster. I use Sevin and LIGHTLY dust them as needed. You have to stay ahead of
the little buggers or they will eat the leaves right off your pumpkins. The worse part is they also carry diseases. Another thing I do is right before I put my plastic down I lightly brodcast Diazonon (spellin Sucks!) that keeps them from coming from the ground and also helps with any grub problems.
