Suggestions for Hail damage

I am hoping some veterans out there can guide me through my Hail damage.
Should I cut off the leaves that are down and cracked open at the stems?
What about the open area it will leave? The vine on one of the plants is
very cracked in places - the other seems to have been spared. Will it help
to bury at the cracks? or should I cut it off and wait for new growth? On a
positive note, I was greeted with 3 glorious male flowers this morning, high
above the broken plants - they looked so bright, it actually gave me hope for
the plants. On the down side, 10 out of 12 Koi in my small pond were killed
by the hail. I can replace the fish - but not the AG's. Thanks
