Freaky Female !!?

I have a freaky looking little female on one of my plants. It is out about
5 feet on a primary vine. It is hard to describe..... It appears to not be
seperated from the leaf stem? that is attached to. Kinda like a siamese
twin thing going on. It is about four inches up off the ground. The yellow
of the little female gows all the way from the primary vine up four inches
till it turns into the yellow female ball freaky looking thing. She
blossomed so I fertilized her to see what would happen, since I have nothing
else ready to be fertilized on the plant, two weeks behind up here in Maine.
I am going to have to get rid of this even if it does grow because it is so
close to the base. I can't just snap her of because she is part of thr leaf
stem she is on. What do I do. Any advise would be GREAT! Thanks Cheryl
