You all are missing the "trick" I have been doing this for years after I found my neighbors cat marking the tires of my custom 66 VW Bug.. Here is how it is done !!

 1. Lye in wait all night with a flashlight hidden in your jacket..
 2. Drink LOTS of Sierra Nevada Beer !!
 3. When you see the little bugger chase him down like a cheetah...
 4. Hold the feisty little bugger still while you mark your territory all over him...
 5. Very rare you will ever have to repeat steps 1. Through 4.

 Thats what your friend meant !!! Take care all !!!
