Barb innocently brought up the subject of pests,
Now she just wishes we'd give it a rest,
The last few days have been quite a test,
Talk of blood, and death, . . . oh what a mess.
Blood, sweat, and tears are all essentials,
Of growing an AG with serious credentials,
So growers are in no way penitential,
Of taking lives through means quite provincial.
Blunt instruments, poisons, and guns by the million,
Help kill those bugs and animals by the billion,
It's a war, a battle, that takes lives by the trillion,
It's a bloody dance, a nightmarish cotillion.
So give Barb a break, from the city she is,
She's not quite accustomed to this bloody biz,
Let's let this topic go out with a fiz,
It's not that important, not that big a whiz.
But Barb let me warn you, a word to the wise,
There's more to this game than color and size,
We are friends of a feather, we have quite strong ties,
Though you might not know it, by the size of our lies.
